Correct. But the council still own the stadium and we pay £XXXX every year for the use of it. And do we maintain it as well ? Is there any council input for maintenance ? Will Wrexham council also be paid £XXXX a year for their financial input ? |

In the four nations submission for hosting the 2035 Womens World Cup they have named three stadiums in Wales to host games. Let's all try to guess where the three are without checking shall we ? |
 | Forum Thread | Violent Crime Down Not Up at 17:21 28 Nov 2025
An interesting article written on a media platform i'd never heard of called Substack says this 'The overall story in Britain – as far as two decades of police, survey and hospital records can attest – is of violent crime in steady decline. And strange as it may sound to say it, the streets of these islands are perhaps safer now than they have ever been.' I wonder how many of the rest of the media outlets we all know and love will report this good news. |
 | Forum Thread | the European Car Industry at 17:58 24 Nov 2025
I was listening to a guy being interviewed on Talk radio earlier. He was a car dealer selling BMW's among others. A couple of guys called into his showroom one day and asked him if he'd like to start selling Chinese cars instead. He said I laughed. Until they started talking numbers. He said that the Chinese manufacturers are happy to make ZERO profit for the next ten years because their aim is to take over the European mass car market completely. There will be niche makers not affected like Rolls Royce and Aston Martin etc but the rest will be in trouble. My first thought was for our car industry. But then he talked about Germany. I knew their car manufacturing market was huge but he said it makes up 25% of the entire German GDP ! Mind boggling. Can you imagine the effect on the whole German economy if they achieve their aim. |

Correct. In 1960 there were 4.1 taxpaying workers for every OAP. The number now is down to about 2.3. We need a birthrate of 2.1 to maintain the current level but the current actual birthrate is 1.7. I'm sure many people believe that successive governments have promoted immigration (legal) because people who want to migrate to the UK are for the most part young so will have children. And, to a large extent they come from cultures where they tend to have more children than your average british couples. But we all know people's attitude toward immigration these days don't we. So how do you get around it ? The obvious answer is for british people to have more children. Simple. But millions of people say they can't afford to have more children because the cost of raising them is so high. In spite of that some people do have more than two. But then they struggle with the cost of living because they can't claim benefits for their third/fourth etc child. And when it's suggested that the two child benefit cap is removed there's a huge argument against increasing the welfare bill. And anyway the skiving layabouts should get out and get a job, if their not already working which millions of them are, to pay their own way. But the welfare bill will still get higher and higher because we'll have more and more pensioners with less and less tax payers. So eventually all taxes will go on welfare. But we're not willing to help people have more children. But never mind, lets just have more immigration. What on earth will good old Nigel say. |
 | Forum Reply | Two-tier taxes? Are there different rules for ministers? at 17:35 23 Nov 2025
I know. When I get our council tax bill it may state I owe say £2000. And £200 is deducted from my account over ten months. I don't know what it might say if it was a rental or whatever but if I was told to pay £2000 that's what i'd pay. |

I don't understand people. Why on earth can't we wait and see what happened before commenting ? 'They (his people I believe) insisted Mr Healey had “fulfilled all his obligations as a tenant by notifying Westminster council of the second home status of the tenancy on the council tax registration form when the tenancy began”, adding that he had now paid all tax in full. While the council accepted it had made an error, the Tories said Mr Healey still had questions to answer about why he had failed to notify the council of the underpayment when he received the “incorrect” bill.' Does anyone on here know what the wording on the bill would have been for him to know it was the 'incorrect bill' ? I don't. I bet the vast majority of the rest of you don't either. Why not wait until you know. |

Even the people on here who admire Trump have to admit that this so called peace plan is a pathetically stupid one and is virtually impossible for Ukraine to accept. |

Thank you Pawel. He sounds a very interesting person and a very deep thinker. That doesn't help with his lack of experience but there has to be something they've seen that really impresses them, All we can do is hope and pray. |

Does anyone have any idea what it is that the club has been so impressed by that they're trying their best to get him ? His record and experience is very limited to say the least. Perhaps i've missed it in one of Keith's reports ? |

On Newsnight last night there were Labour, Lib Dem and Tory MP's discussing the possible outcomes of next week's budget. The Tory MP confirmed yet again why I haven't listened seriously to a word they've said since being kicked out of office. They (the Tories) argue against tax rises. They say that the tax take in this country is far too high. They also argue against borrowing saying the nation can't simply borrow its way forward because that debt has to be repaid at some point. So that leaves cutting government expenditure. While making one point she criticised the Labour MP for referring back to the mess the Conservatives had left behind in 2024 saying what's important is the situation we are in now forgetting that five minutes before she had criticised Labour for the mess they had left behind in 2010. The stupidity just baffles me. When the Conservatives were in power after 2010 they introduced austerity by massively cutting government expenditure. This resulted in all the pillars of a civilised country being ruined. The health service, education, policing and justice and a massive 40% decrease in local government funding. So in 2010, of the three options they took the cut spending option which, by their logic, would mean no rise in taxes or borrowing. WRONG. At the same time as cutting spending they massively tripled the UK national debt from around £900 billion to almost £3 trillion. I'm sure someone will mention Covid borrowing but that would only account for around a fifth of the extra they loaded onto the national debt during their disastrous fourteen years in office. |

The story about Leo Walta is interesting. It's easy to say i'm just reading something into it that just isn't there. And that i'm doing it because I want it to be to do with him (Hellberg) joining. But you have to admit it's a hell of a coincidence if he really did try to sign him for Hammarby. |

We went after him. We targeted him as our first choice and that's plain to everyone including Kim. The others have been looking at other managers (O'Neil, Carrick, Russ even) so not obviously their first choice. Logically he will look at others and his agent will chase around as they should. But knowing that we want him must count for a lot. |
