Who will we get knocked out of the fa cup in the 3rd round by this season?
My guess is Millwall at home.

Referee gives a penalty to WBA,then goes to see it on the replay and decides not to give it after all.Five minutes later he then decides to give Man Utd a penalty for a dodgy handball, but doesn’t go and check on the screen for this one. Then he makes them take it again after the keeper moved off his line, which was correct.
I wish we’d had this ref against the Watford globe trotters today.

Was anyone watching the game between Orlando and New York City?It went to a penalty shootout, but that was only the start of it.
The Orlando keeper made a save which would’ve meant that they won the shootout and the coach had disappeared down the tunnel. Then the ref ordered the kick to be taken again as the keeper had moved off his line.He moaned and got a second yellow card and was sent off.
They tried to make a sub and and bring another keeper on,and the ref allowed him to stand in the goal before getting a message in his ear that he wasn’t allowed on and they had to put an outfield player in goal.
Cue the typical outfield players attempt at saving a penalty. Then Nani had a chance to win it for Orlando but it was saved and it went to sudden death.
Then New York missed their spot kick and the Orlando players came on the pitch thinking that they’d won.It took the ref a while to explain to them that they had to score with the next kick to win it,which they finally did.
The shootout took about 23 minutes from start to a confusing end.If you get the chance to watch the replay, sit back and wonder how they can turn a simple game into something so complicated.

I have a people carrier and I can remove the rear 5 seats and turn it into a very basic camper van by putting in a double mattress and other things.
I plan to spend a lot of weekends next summer travelling around the country a bit more, and even some away games early next season.
Does anyone know the law regarding sleeping in the back if I park it in a pub car park and go for a few beers in that pub.Can I be done for drinking and driving because I’m in charge of the vehicle and have the keys with me?I think it is ok on a campsite, but I don’t know what would happen if it was parked elsewhere.
Anyone with knowledge of the laws regarding this issue? Thanks in advance.

Pay per view has been scrapped then.Well done to the premier league for seeing sense at last.

After last nights assault on Walcott not given as a penalty,we have the same today with Everton v Man Utd.Maguire taken out by 2 players, including Pickford again, and nothing given.
You can understand these mistakes if it’s just the officials on the pitch, but the Var official can see exactly what we can,and from several different angles.
It really is becoming a farce now.Either use it properly or scrap it.

I just watched the 2nd half of the benfica v Rangers game but I didn’t realise that benficas number 49 was Taraabt. He hardly moved from around the centre circle in all of the time I was watching. Most of the time he was just shuffling slowly backwards and forwards,or side to side.
He had very little impact on the play because he hardly touched the ball.
Does anyone watch him regularly? Was it just a off day,or is it a normal day at the office now?
A question for pinner
at 23:19 2 Nov 2020
I was linesman on Sunday for my daughter’s match on Sunday,as per usual, and there were a few shouts on both sides for various handballs, none of which were given.I was chatting with the ref at halftime and he said that if a player in women’s football had their hands across their chests and protecting their boobs, then it wouldn’t be given as handball if the ball hit their arms or hands. He said it was because they’re protecting a vulnerable area of their bodies.
Is he right Pinner,or was it just a cop out?And my Mrs would need to put her hands across her knees to protect them.

I wonder if any of our clever posters could give me the answer to my latest problem.I bought a treadmill online over 3 years ago in an attempt to get fit and prepare for the Great North Run.About a year ago it stopped working properly. The treadmill would start up and then grind to a halt after a second or two.I’ve put some silicone oil on the moving parts, but without success.
I contacted sports direct and they tell me that they don’t have spare parts for it,even though the company that made it is owned by them.
I looked online at treadmill repairs and they’ve quoted me £170 for a new motor for it.The whole machine only cost £250,so it seems a bit expensive to buy a part at that price when I don’t even know for sure if that is the problem with it.
Does anyone know how I can find out the problem with it,or should I just use it as an expensive clothes horse?

2-0 and they appear to have fecked it up.I guess we won’t be the first team to win at their new ground then.Maybe just the first team from London to win there will have to do.

Another Saturday and another needham market home game.A local derby against Lowestoft this week.A QPR and Needham win will make the Guinness taste nicer.

I saw a trailer for the new series of Spitting Image that starts on Britbox next weekend. They seem to have got the model of Michael Gove spot on.Boris and Trump seem pretty accurate too.I hope it’s as good as it was in the past.
Now I only need to discover how to watch it on my smart tv rather than the iPhone.

I went to my first live game in over 6 months today. It all felt a little bit weird to begin with, but after a couple of pints of Guinness it all seemed more normal.
I guess the crowd was about 250-300 and Needham Market ran out 4-2 winners over Stratford Town. They ride their luck a bit at times, but were worthy winners in the end.
Too bloody cold though.

It’s another nostalgia post. What era would you have preferred to live in?
I only wish I’d been born in 1950 rather than 1960.I could’ve been listening to all that great sixties music with a bit more awareness as a budding teenager than I did as a toddler.I would’ve been almost 17 during the summer of love rather than 6 and still playing with my action men.
I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed Woodstock or the Isle of Wight festivals more than I did with some of the concerts I went to in the later 70’s.Did they really believe that they could change the world by wearing some flowers in your hair and taking drugs?
I would’ve also seen us win the football World Cup rather than only remembering the rugby and cricket versions.I might also have seen us at the start of our rise up the football league ladder, including the league cup win in 67.
Although I was the first Rangers fan in our family, and still living in Battersea until March 67,so I might’ve been a kings road knuckledragger instead if I’d followed along with my schoolmates at the time.
It’s all academic really, but the 60’s seemed a better decade than the 70’s,but then I would’ve probably been too old for punk.

My tv has developed an annoying whining noise in the last 30 minutes.I think they call it mcmanaman or something similar. The only cure seems to be to adjust the volume button until the whining goes away.
How does this fecker get on tv at all,let alone as the champions league final co commentator.
OAP season tickets
at 12:49 21 Aug 2020
As I turn 60 next month,I went into the box office in September last year and asked the staff what will happen next,(this) September.Dont worry they said,we’ll allow a pro rata price to happen.
I asked the same question via email a couple of months ago and got a reply today saying that I needed to have been 60 by August 1st to get an OAP ticket for the coming season, which I will be 4 days after the 1st game of the season.
They will therefore charge me full price in our package for the coming season.I’m not sure whether we’ll be allowed into many games next season,so to pay £200 more for the privilege doesn’t sound much of a bargain to me.
And isn’t there a sliding scale to raise the age bracket to 65 starting next season? So I could be forced to pay full price until I reach 65 as my birthday will be 6 weeks after the cut off time every year?
I blame my parents mainly, followed by covid 19 and then the club.
I know times are hard for our club, but I’m surely tempted to give up my season ticket after 44 long years and buy them cheap as and when I can go.

I just caught the last 30 minutes of a radio documentary about lower league football on 5live.The last interview was with Akinfenwa, and he came across as a decent bloke, not just tonight, but in most interviews he has given.
I know he could quite easily bully our back 4 next season, but it’s hard to dislike him,and I hope he doesn’t get too much abuse if fans are allowed back next season.
He has played mostly lower league football all his career so I think he’s earned his time playing in a higher league.
I just hope he has a quiet game or two against us.

Anyone watching the cricket today?Who will win is anybody’s guess.
Why do we always seem to start a test series so poorly?
Season ticket refunds
at 20:31 5 Aug 2020
I had an email from the box office today saying that the refund on our season tickets was £46,but I don’t know what that represents.
With all the talk of redundancy last month I thought I’d cash my adult silver st in and one of our 2 U18’s and watch the games via my daughters U18 season ticket.
We have a family package consisting of 2 adults,2 U18’s and an over 60 ticket that comes to £1189,so what does the £46 equate to?
Anyone else got theirs?
