Norwich City = Pride of Anglia 4 Ipswich Down 1
Norwich City = Pride of Anglia 4 Ipswich Down 1

It isn't fair to gloat. Magnanimous in victory, I was taught. Sorry, but if the boot were on the other foot, every possible chance to rub it in would be taken against Norwich supporters by their East Anglain counterparts.

Even more of a shock for City fans is that we actually won a televised match. The last time that happened was against Paulton Rovers (WHO?) in the FA Cup last season.

Four goals to one. It sounds nice. The goals came from Grant Holt, who claimed the matchball for a hat trick, and Wesley Hoolahan.

Ipswich's goal came by courtesy of Damien Delaney in the 28th minute, Delaney rounded off his afternoon just eleven minutes later for bringing down Grant Holt.

City supporters were rubbing it in with Roy Keane in the first half as the chant came from the Barclay End, "You're getting sacked in the morning".

When it rang out again in the second half, the Ipswich Supporters joined in even more loudly.

According to what Roy Keane was saying about the game beforehand, he had been watching the videos. If he has, he either never told his players how to counteract City's attacking style, or the players have had enough of him as well, and never bothered.

After this latest defeat Keane is raising doubts by not raising doubts about referee Keith Hill, who managed to stick to his form and award 6 yellow cards, as well as Delaney's red.

According to Roy Keane, Grant Holt's first goal was as a result of a poor decision. It was as a result of Ipswich defender, Darren O'Dea giving the ball away to Holt. Some question whether or not Holt handled the ball. There was no need as it was gifted to him.

Keane needs to review the videos because if he does, hie will see O'Dea had no answer for Grant Holt all afternoon. It was nothing to do with Keith Hill.

Keane also questions the sending off. Only Roy Keane sees anything to question. According to the syndicated journalist for the nationals, such as the Mail, the Guardian and Sporting Life, is was a professional foul with Holt brought down by the last man as he was through, clear on goal. BBC Sport agrees, as well.

The words of a desperate man who knows his job must be on the line with four defeats on the tun, and Ipswich now in 16th place, just four points above the relegation zone.

Keane didn't have too many words of encoutagement for the players he picked, playing the tactics he selected.

“In any game of football, whether you’re a professional or an amateur, you’ve got to do the basics right and we didn’t do that today, whether that’s for the first couple of goals or the sending off. You make it very hard for yourself," he said after the game.
