Trialist let go after scoring Thursday, 2nd Aug 2012 09:54 by Col Trialist Danny Johnson scored the winning goal for Dale at Marine on Tuesday evening, but it wasn't enough to see him offered a contract at the club. The former Hartlepool and Real Murcia striker had been at the club since the start of pre-season in the hope of breaking back into the professional game in England, but despite a number of run outs including one which saw him score the winner at Marine, it wasn't enough to convince John Coleman that he was worthy of a contract. The fate of the other two trialist players (Ian Craney and Ray Putterill) remains unknown at this moment in time.
