Swans Aim For Top Spot?

The season begins to gather pace and with Kenny Jackett's men still on a high after last weeks away victory over table toppers Wycombe, Rushden and Diamonds make the trip to South Wales on Saturday.

As well as the long term injuries to James Thomas and Leon Hylton, Swan's boss Jackett is still waiting on Izzy Iriekpen and Paul Connor, who are both doubtful. The one name on every fans lips this weekend will be top scorer Lee Trundle. Trundle will be hoping to shake off the knee problem which saw him miss last weekends victory over Wycombe.

Jackett's opposite number Ernie Tippett has no injury doubts ahead of Saturday's game, but the visitors will definately be without Gareth Seddon, Daniel Talbot and midfielder Gary Mills.

After an indifferent opening to the season, the Swans seem to be hitting a rich vein of form at just the right time. With four out of the next six games at home, it's a perfect opportunity to string together a lengthy unbeaten run. With the Swans sitting in sixth place, only two points behind table toppers Scunthorpe, there's no reason why we shouldn't find ourselves sitting comfortably in the promotion places at the end of October.

After the disappointment of not being able to reproduce the blistering start to last season, many people suggested that this season would be a slow burner.........................it appears that someone's lit the fuse.

WHO ARE WE?................................JACKARMY!!
