Adrian Forbes was signed from Luton in 2004, after scoring 14 goals in League 1 the season before. Forbes has the accolade of scoring the last league goal at the Vetch in an emotion day against Shrewsbury. Forbes was signed as a winger but, more often that not, his crosses were erratic and hardly ever used to get past the first man.

Forbes got off to a slow start to the season. He scored his first goal for the Swans in a 1-0 win over Mansfield in October. Forbes then started to win the fans over and scored a few more vital goals. His most important has got to be the one that secured promotion, away at Bury, in May.

It will be interesting to see where Jackett will play Forbes this season; a striker's role will suit him. He is very quick and has looked threatening going forward; we are not short of goals. Forbes should not find the step up too much of a problem as he played for Luton a few season's ago.
