Central defender Iriekpen was signed by Brian Flynn, from West Ham, in 2003. The 23 year old has potential; Izzy is prone to the odd mistake and does have a tendency to loose concentration and make the odd mistake.

The 6'1 defender, who is good in the air, also captained the West Ham youth, as the won the FA Youth cup. At the end of last season Izzy signed an extended deal to his contract as the Swans look to make an impact on League 1.

Time will tell whether Iriekpen will become a regular at the back, hopefully he can cut out the silly mistakes. Very threatening from set pieces, a few more goals would be nice from the former West Ham man.
