Saints will be looking for revenge against Birmingham City.

Saints will be looking for revenge as they meet Birmingham City at St Mary's for the second time in ten days.

Of course Saints will want to extract retribution for what they see as a unjust result a week or so ago, but it means much more than that to the club, firstly after the fine win at Derby County, Jan Poortvliet and his squad will want to prove that that was no fluke, in truth the fans who have watched the first two league games know that, they saw how close in both games Saints came to at least a point.

Birmingham for their part will probably make changes and rest players for the trip, their priority is promotion and with three wins out of three they are the initial pacesetters of the division, whislt Saints, whilst making some changes, including resting Michael Svensson that will probably see Jack Cork make his full debut, will keep the basis of the team that beat Derby intact, these are young players and can play several games in short succesion.

But perhaps the most important thing for saints is to progress in the competition, as it means extra income into the club, a premier club at home in the next round would not only mean a decent gate, but possibly TV coverage and the income that brings into the coffers.

Hopefully the win at Derby might bring a few back into the fold, it certainly should do, this is the most entertaining Saints side in over a decade, the problem is though that too many fans asscociate entertainment with being in the Premiership.

So if you havent seen Saints yet this season, get on down to St Mary's, you might just enjoy it !!!
