Rory Promises To Continue Where He Left Off

Fallon Next Up On The Goal Promise

Hot on the heels of Lee Trundle saying he would fight for his place and Leon Knight saying we have yet to see the best of him we today have Rory Fallon saying that he is after goals, goals and more goals this season following on from his best ever tally last time around

After scoring the Swans goal in the credible 1-1 draw with Wolves at the weekend, the £300,000 signing from Swindon was in a great mood having continued with the great form that he showed at the end of last season. A target for the boo-boys immediately following his arrival from Swindon, Fallon has slowly won his doubters round and at the moment has a justified place in the starting line up

"I had a really good end to the season with Swindon a couple of years back but when I came back the next year I was poor," he told the Evening Post. "I don't want to fall back into that again. I want to keep hungry and I want to keep things going from the Millennium Stadium in May. "I scored 20 goals last season. That was the best total of my career and I want to be up around there again this year. Sometimes it's the important goals that really matter, but hopefully I can keep scoring every other game. "I think I started to show what I can do at the end of last season. I know I'm a good player and I just need the chance to show it. If the boys are giving me good service, I will score for them.

"All of us realise that if you take your foot off the pedal, you'll lose your place," he added. "If you don't score then someone will take over from you so the heat is really on."

And with four strikers at the club all capable of getting goals it can only be good news for the Swans but maybe not so much so for the opposition defences.
