New Season Predictions

As part of the build up to the League One season, League one sides are being asked to answer 10 questions on how they see the season shaping out for their side. Swans fan, Mike from Gendros answered the following 10 questions on our behalf and this is his answers:http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=iso-8859-1">

1. What are your teams realistic ambitions for the new season? Ambitions have to mean we aim for promotion. I would always set out on any new season with an ambition to do better than we did last time around. The pain of a play off final defeat would therefore have to mean that we go one better. Automatic would be a better option 2. Has your manager done well with his summer transfers? We released three at the end of the season and have sold Sam Ricketts as well. In Pratley, Butler and Amankwaah we look to have done well in terms of who we have bought in but I would have liked to have seen a few more. 3. What do the fans think of the manager? The majority are happy in what he has done in just over two years here. A promotion, two FAW cups, a FLT and a losing play off final looks a good record. However, he has people to win over with many pointing the finger to strange tactics at the end of last season being our downfall. 4. Which player will win you promotion? I guess you would expect us to say Lee Trundle but this time around it would be Leon Knight. I can see him scoring plenty this season and if we keep him sharp, hungry and fit then he could make a huge difference 5.Which player could send you down? Player on our books? I don't see that anyone is weak enough or unpredictable enough to cause us that much concern this year. I don't think relegation is an option for us, fingers crossed we are way too strong to have to worry about it 6. What do you need to do differently from last season? Defend corners and set pieces and play until the final whistle and never sit on a lead. Those things cost us enough points last season to stop us winning the league at a canter. If we cut those out then we'll be tough to beat. 7. Which team would you most like to beat? I've never forgiven Northampton for Wembley in 1997 so them it has to be 8. Who will end up as Champions? Us, Drizzle or Forest I think. I honestly believe those three will make the final three come the end of the season. However I have done the lottery for 12 years and never come that close to winning so don't bank on it! 9. Five words to sum up the next 9 months for your club. The Swansea City rollercoaster again 10. Which League will you be in next season? Please say championship, please say championship, please say championship.
