Swansea City began their pre-season tour of Holland with a 2-1 loss at Stormvogels Telstar.
Struggling on the artificial surface, the tourists went a goal down to a Jan Bruin header on 26 minutes.
After the break Paul Anderson set up Kris O'Leary for the equaliser, but sub Brahim Aoulad-Lfadil got the close range winner two minutes from time.
To add to Swansea's woes, Garry Monk was taken to hospital for an x-ray after a 38th-minute ankle injury.
"We are obviously concerned about our captain," Swansea manager Roberto Martinez told the club's website.
"After missing the majority of last season through injury, this is the last thing we want as he was getting stronger and looking in fantastic shape.
"Hopefully it won't be too serious, but we'll just have to wait for the results and treat the injury accordingly.
"The last thing I'm interested in is the result. It was a great exercise and tactically I got a lot out of it."
