Swansea Draw Man U In Quarter Finals Of FA Cup

Swansea City have been drawn against Manchester United in the Quarter Finals should the Swans overcome Fulham in a replay.

In a performance that deserved more than a replay at Craven Cottage on the 24th February , Roberto Martinez clearly had mixed feelings after being held to a 1-1 draw against the Cottagers, he said

“There are mixed feelings because I’m delighted with the performance and the way we reacted after our own mistake with the goal but then disappointed that we didn’t win the game”

“It just goes to show again that sometimes performances don’t bring you the result they deserve and it was one of those days. It is a great learning curve for us and a great experience we can use. I feel very proud of my players because of that – but at the same time you need to win games when you play like that, no matter who you play against and we didn’t do that. “

So far in this seasons FA Cup campaign Swansea have knocked out former holders Portsmouth in the 4th round and won over non league Histon in the third round.

The draw was made by Former Arsenal defender and cup winning captain Frank McLintock and Graeme Souness at FA Headquarters in Soho Square.
