Out of favour midfielder Owain Tudur Jones has joined league one outfit Swindon Town on loan deal.

The Welsh international's move down the M4 will see the 24 year old link up with former Swan, Kevin Amankwaah at the County Ground. Swindon had hopped the move would be completed over the weekend but could not reach agreement until today and the former Bangor City man is certainly looking forward to the challenge of keeping Swindon in the third tier of the British game as he told the official site, he said "I travelled up to Swindon on Sunday and trained with them for the first time on Monday morning. With Swindon dropping into the relegation zone over the weekend it's a difficult time for the football club. But I spoke to manager Danny Wilson and he believes he has the players to get out of trouble."

He added "If I can add something to the squad to help them, that's what I will be looking to do.I need game time because my opportunities at Swansea have been limited. I haven't played as many games as I would have liked which is disappointing, but that's the way football is sometimes.I will be 100 per cent committed to Swindon while I'm there. There will be a lot of pressure on the games, but I think that will help me because nobody can go through the motions. "

The towering midfielder has dropped down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium club over the course of the season thanks to the inspired form of midfield trio of Jordi Gomez, Leon Britton and Darren Pratley.
