QPR The Verdict Sunday, 2nd Aug 2009 22:40 Saints were comprhensively beaten at QPR, but it would have confirmed a few things for Alan Pardew. Saints supporters at Loftus Road were given a stark reminder that Alan Pardew has a lot of work to do yet before Saints are in good shape, by this defeat. In truth it was still an experimental side from Pardew rather than his first choice side and the lessons he will have learnt are that Saints desperately need at least one more central defender and probably two, likewise up front were with both Saganowski and Rasiak feeling their futures lie elsewhere, a centre forward needs to be brought in pretty damn quick. If Saints can make these signings it should go a long lonng way to cure the current problems and Saints shouldnt have too much to worry about, however the problem now is time and AP has to work fasst if he is to bring in players before the opener against Millwall . In truth QPR are a better side than most we will face in the league next term and we were well beaten at Loftus Road just under a year ago as well, so we shouldnt be too downhearted, however we have to be patient and realise that these things take time.
