Dobbie Signs On - New Deal For Stephen

Stephen Dobbie has committed his future to the Swans by signing a new three year deal

The Swansea City striker looked to be heading out of the door last season under Paulo Sousa - a point highlighted when the former Swans boss allowed him to head to Blackpool on loan for the latter part of the season.

But since the change of management, and despite interest from the Seasiders, Dobbie has found himself back in the reckoning and has signed the new deal that will keep him at the club for three years.

speaking to the official site after signing the deal, Dobbie said "I'm delighted, discussions have been going on for a couple of weeks.

"I know there have been a few enquiries from Blackpool along the way, but I'm just glad I've put pen to paper and can concentrate on my football with Swansea City.

"I didn't find the interest from Blackpool too unsettling because it means you must be doing something right when other teams want to buy you. I went there, did well and have fond memories of the place.

"But it's all about Swansea for me, especially with the new gaffer (Brendan Rodgers) in charge. He's been fantastic with me and I want to repay him with a few goals.

"We've got a lot off attacking options in the side across the front line and from midfield, which is fantastic.''
