Swans Linked With Move For Leeds United Man Saturday, 18th Jun 2011 07:54 Swansea City have been linked with a move for Maz Gradel from Leeds The move is being suggested by the Daily Mirror with Rodgers allegedly reported to be lining up a £1.5m bid for Gradel. Gradel joined Leeds, initially on loan, in October 2009. He arrived from Leicester City, where he was a promotion winner the previous season, making 31 appearances, and went on to make a big impression in a Leeds shirt with his pace and guile. He initially joined with Wolves striker Sam Vokes, a player he had spent time on loan with previously while at Bournemouth. Gradel had scored 10 goals in 37 appearances while on loan at Bournemouth from Leicester in 2007/08, but on returning to Leicester he found it difficult to hold down a regular place. His move to Leeds was made permanent in January 2010 and he went on to play a key role in the club's promotion, most notably when he was switched to a striking role during the closing weeks of the season.
