Pub Guide - The Greyhound
Pub Guide - The Greyhound

One of the lesser known pubs around the Bush, but still an excellent pre-match drinking venue for Rangers fans. Toasted sandwiches available and suitable for families.

Reviewer - Zicoshoops
Name of Pub - The Greyhound
Location - Becklow Road, the section that runs between Uxbridge Road and Askew Road.
Size - Medium. Two bars with separate entrances from the street, although once inside you can move between bars.
Selection of Beer - Not bad at all.
Price of drinks - Average for the area.
How full does it get on match days? Three quarters full, 90% Rangers, very much a 'local' pub.
Fitness of bar staff - It has its moments.
How long does it take to walk to the ground from there? 15ish minutes.
Sky Sports - Don't think so, although I may be wrong. Definitely no big screen.
Suitable for away fans? If any away fans turned up, it would mean that they were well and truly lost. I've never seen any away fans in the pub.
Suitable for families and kids? Yes, family friendly. Also wheelchair supporters are made welcome, although there is not much space in the pub.
What's the smoking situation? Smoking allowed.
Beer Garden - Don't think so.
As far as toilets go just how bad are these? Not bad at all. Very clean.
Does it serve food? After a heavy Friday night and when I can't face a full session in The Conningham, I can be found munching away on a toasted ham and tomato sandwich here.
Trendy Modern bar, traditional pub or somewhere in between? Traditional.
In one sentence why should people visit steer clear of this pub: Visit for a quiet beer. Steer clear because of the lone Chelsea Twat who is always going on about how great Chelsea are, although he spends all day in the pub even when Chelsea are playing at home. Although fair play to the fella.....he does answer to the name of 'six nil.'
