A First For City
Monday, 24th Feb 2014 19:58

Never before in the club's history have City played in three different cup competitions in consecutive matches. Between the second and the 12th of the month that's exactly what's going to happen.

First up, City head down to Wembley for the Capital One Cup final with Sunderland next weekend before Wigan visit the Etihad in the FA Cup sixth round. To round off the opening three fixtures of the month, City will have to try to overcome a 2-0 deficit at the Nou Camp in the Champions League.

Even back the in the days of competing in the early rounds of the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Auto Windscreens Shield, the Blues did not achieve the feat of three consecutive knockout games in three different competitions.
