Here is the news we have all been waiting for as the fixtures for the forthcoming Premier League Season are released.

Saints start with an away fixture for the 3rd successive season as they travel to Liverpool on the opening weekend, in a game that could well be changed dates for television.

They follow that up a week later with a home game against West Brom.

The Christmas period is a London festival of football, Crystal Palace away on Boxing Day, followed by Chelsea at home on Sunday 28th December then three days later on New Years day its Arsenal visiting for a January 1st fixture for the second time in three years.

The run in to the final game of the season is not difficult in some respects apart from the fact that 3 of the last 4 are away from home, Sunderland & Leicester away followed by Aston Villa at home, but the final fixture is another road trip and perhaps the hardest of the season a trip to the Etihad to play Manchester City
