Williamson: It was a steal Monday, 20th Aug 2007 08:46 Chester City boss Bobby Williamson admitted that his Chester side stole the three points from Spotland on Saturday after Kevin Ellison's 91st minute winner. Of course, the talking point was the Le Fondre's 90th minute disallowed goal followed by the subsequent Chester attack which saw them win the game. And Williamson was quick to point out the effect of that turnaround.
He admitted after the game: "I think my heart came right out of my mouth, it's a cruel game football when you get served up that and then we go and steal it up the other end. It was a steal to be honest but I don't think they deserved to loose the game but we did have good chances and you have to feel for them but we have to take the three points gladly".
He put the victory into context telling his club's official website: "To get three points at Rochdale is more than pleasing because I don't think they will lose many games at home as they are a very good team and our second half performance was fantastic."
