1 in 3 Say Wembley Triumph Beckons
Monday, 25th Aug 2014 10:25 by Planet Swans (Follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Around 1 in 3 Swans fans believe that we can pick up a second Capital One Cup success this season after the votes in our poll asked how far we would go in the competition

Over 200 people cast their votes in the poll which simply asked how far we would go in the competition with over 75% of those who voted thinking we would get to the quarter finals at least.

The Swans open up their campaign on Tuesday night when Rotherham visit the Liberty Stadium in the second round of the competition - a home tie against a side from South Yorkshire being exactly how the campaign started two years ago.

The Swans are expected to get through that game with competition and then they will sit and wait for their fate as all the teams who have European interests also enter the competition although 5% of people believe that we will not be in the competition that long and think Rotherham will upset the odds tomorrow night and leave with their progression secured.

Interestingly after the votes for us to win he competition the second most popular answer was a quarter final exit from the competition.

The Swans can be backed at 50/1 to win the competition this season - you could double those odds to 100/1 if you follow this link to become a new Betfred customer - they are offering double odds for all new customers on any single bet. Man City and Chelsea head the odds at 6/1 each.
