Saints Look To Have No Injury Issues Ahead Of Sunderland Game
Thursday, 16th Oct 2014 16:31

With 16 players away on International duty the worry is that some may be injured but that is not looking the case ahead of the visit of the Mackems.

Ronald Koeman has confirmed that he has no new injury worries ahead of Saturday's important game at St Mary's, apart from long tem casualties Jay Rodriguez and James Ward Prowse the rest of the squad are all fit, Koeman confirmed that Sadio Mane and Mayuka have yet to return from their games but that he has not been told of any problems.

This is good news as with so many away with their countries their is a danger that some could return with a problem and although Saints squad is stronger than it has ever been it still does not have the strength in depth that some of the teams we are looking to emulate have.

But the stage is set now and Saints now have to beat a Sunderland side who in four attempts last season it was something they could not manage, but if they do so this then it will be yet another step forward.

I hope Clyne is still holding his head high after being ignored by Roy. Great way to stay uninjured but surely his time will come soon.
