Blackpool 4 Nottingham Forest 4

You could have put money on the fact that after 15 months of only scoring one goal at home that when Blackpool did eventually score more than one that we wouldn't go on and win the game. In the end, no one would have predicted we'd score four and still not win but the fact that the Seasiders were down to effectively 8 men for the last 15 minutes of the game and still came out with a point is credit to the players.

A game of eight goals, a sending off, a penalty, a side reduced in numbers by the end, 9 minutes of injury time and a late equaliser. Whilst those who protested before the game and chose to go home thought they'd be missing out on another turgid afternoon at the seaside, in fact they missed probably the best game at Bloomfield Road since the Ian Holloway days.

Gary Madine scored his first goal since joining on loan from Sheffield Wednesday to put them ahead. Andrea Orlandi added a second just after the hour mark, but Forest scored twice in two minutes through Dexter Blackstock and Gary Gardner to draw level. Steve Davies restored the home side's lead on 73 minutes before Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury tucked home a spot-kick four minutes later - the concession of which saw Tom Aldred red-carded. Darren O'Dea was then stretchered off to leave Blackpool two men light and Chris Burke thought he had won it for the visitors with a goal five minutes into added time. But David Ferguson headed home to salvage a stunning point at Bloomfield Road.

There was plenty of reason to cheer by full time, even if it's all come a little too late, however what is needed is the feel good factor back at Bloomfield Road and even if that will take a long time off the pitch, it was good to see some smiling faces for once at full time even if it was only to celebrate a point.
