Stefan Bailey and Matt Pickens were among five players released from QPR on a free transfer today.

WIth the season now over, the speculation is in abundance with regards to players coming into the club. But with that, there will always be casualties and Rangers today have told Stefan Bailey, Matt Pickens, Aaron Goode, Andrew Howell and Sean Thomas they are all free to leave QPR when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Stefan Bailey made 20 appearances for the R's since signing pro forms during the 2005/6 season. Matt Pickens joined on a short term loan deal back in February and despite some favourable reports from a few reserve performances, he never quite made it to a first team start. Andrew Howell made one first team start against Northampton in the Carling Cup in 2006 and has spent most of the second half of the season on loan at Wealdstone, along with Aaron Goode. Sean Thomas also spent some time on loan with the Stones at the start of the season and spent some of the previous campaign at Bristol City, as cover for Adriano Basso.
