Thursday, 15th May 2008 14:07

QPR completed thier third signing of the summer so far today with Italian Matteo Alberti signing from Chievo Verona.

The 19 year old right winger has signed a four year deal at Loftus Road after Rangers agreed a fee, said by the Italian media to be in the region of 400,000 euros, with Serie B side Chievo Verona.

Alberti is yet to make a senior appearance for 'The Flying Donkeys' but has apparantly been attracting interest from Serie A clubs and has chosen QPR ahead of stiff competition from elsewhere. Alberti was introduced to fans at the recent Player of the Year event and will officially sign on July 1.

Rangers will face Chievo at Loftus Road on Saturday August 2 as part of the deal.

Meanwhile striker Danny Nardiello has returned to Loftus Road after Barnsley decided not to make his loan move to Oakwell permanent. Nardiello scored once in his three months back in Yorkshire and although Iain Dowie did try to sign the Welshman for Coventry City last summer it's unclear if he has any future at Loftus Road. Swansea, Cardiff and Derby are all said to be monitoring his situation.
