Big QPR influence on Under 21 win
Big QPR influence on Under 21 win
Thursday, 15th May 2008 23:49

Former, current and possible future QPR stars played their part in England Under 21's 2-0 win against Wales on Thursday night.

Michael Mancienne, who recently returned to Chelsea after 18 months on loan at QPR, started alongside Martin Cranie in the England defence at the Racecourse Ground tonight. Cranie enjoyed a very successful spell at Rangers earlier this season and is widely tipped to make a return to Loftus Road, either permanently or on loan, for next season.

Up front Dexter Blackstock came on in the 54th minute as the English ran out 2-0 winners - Theo Walcott (Arsenal) and Tom Huddlestone (Spurs) got the goals in the first half. England are now unbeaten in ten matches at this level after this win in a match to mark the 100th match for the Welsh Under 21 side. Matt Connolly was called up for the squad but withdrew through injury earlier this week.
