Paladini says Buzsaky’s going nowhere
Paladini says Buzsaky’s going nowhere
Friday, 23rd May 2008 19:33

Gianni Paladini has moved to quash speculation linking Akos Buzsaky with a move away from the club.

Buzsaky has been a massive hit at QPR since arriving from Plymouth in the autumn and his form in W12 has caught the eye of a number of Premiership teams – notable Portsmouth and West Ham.

The Hungarian picked up a nasty ankle injury on international duty towards the end of the season and his absence from the team gave the rumour mongers a chance to spread tales of a falling out between him and Luigi De Canio. This in turn sparked stories of a £2.5m release clause and Rangers brokering some sort of deal for Pompey’s David Nugent or Martin Cranie by using Buzsaky as bait.

However, Paladini told the Ealing Times: “Akos is going nowhere. We don't want or need to sell and he has made it clear he is happy here. There has been interest from some Premier League clubs but I can categorically say there is absolutely no way they will get him. It won't happen, I can assure you of that.

"There is no clause like that and I don't know where all that came from," Paladini said. Akos Buzsaky will play for QPR in the Premier League. In Iain Dowie we have a new manager who really likes him as a player and the player himself wants to play for us. Other clubs like him but he's staying here."

Incidentally I’ve done a bit of a season review for the Gazette this week and you can read that by clicking here.
