Saints Now Head To Belgium In Their Transfer Rumour Tour Of Europe
Wednesday, 6th May 2015 09:04

Saints are allegedly now heading to Brussels as they seemingly aim to be the first club to be linked with a player in every country on the continent of Europe.

Saints are being linked with a player in every country it seems and if they have a Dutch connection then even better, however with the number potential Dutch recruits running out, as we have now been linked with 90% of the current International squad and most of the Eridivisie, it is now a case of popping next door for the latest rumour and having a scout around Belgium.

Latest potential signing is Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. the Serbian is also being linked with Newcastle United who have, according to reports already agreed a fee of around £15 million for the 6 2 1/2 player who is the top scorer in the Belgium league with 20 goals so far.

However given Newcastles perilous position and lack of leadership at the moment its hard to see a move to St James Park being attractive at the moment and its being touted that Saints may look to hijack the move with Swansea City already sniffing.

Mitrovic started his career at Partizan in his native Serbia and came through the youth ranks before joining Anderlecht in August 2013 for around 5 million euros, which amazingly and perhaps putting the madness which is the Premier league into perspective was Anderlecht's record fee.

His career in Belgium has blossomed and in 65 appearances he has scored 33 goals a decent ration spread evenly over his two seasons.

he has also played 11 times for the full Serbian International side although he has scored only once for them.
