Saints Still Considering Leeds United Youngster Wednesday, 1st Jul 2015 21:57 Although Cedric Soars is the direct replacement for Nathaniel Clyne, Saints are still in the market for more cover on the right hand side. Saints have been linked before with Leeds United right back/right winger Sam Byram as they lack cover on the right hand side with no other player at the club really able to play right back apart from new signing Cedric Soars. Under consideration is Leeds United's Sam Byram who ironically can have comparisons drawn to Clyne's arrival from Crystal Palace 3 years ago, Byram is Leeds longest serving player perhaps emphasising the upheaval at the Yorkshire club and he will not turn 22 till September. Like the departed ex Saint he has good experience in the Championship with three solid seasons behind him and well over 100 games this name. A raft of Premier clubs have reportedly been chasing Byram including Everton, Arsenal, Sunderland & West Ham and indeed Saints themselves allegedly had a £4.5 illion bid rejected by Leeds in January. It is being reported that Leeds will do business for around £8 million and that might put Saints off at that level, there is also the fact that Byram will want to move to a club where he has a good chance of first team football and he might not feel that this would be the case at St Mary's Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
