And The Band Played On Saturday, 5th Dec 2015 11:03 Ugly Inside Co Founder Clive Foley asks whether the show of defiance by those Saints fans who stayed to the bitter end on Wednesday was a turning point or just a hollow gesture ? If there was one positive thing to come out of The League Cup defeat it was the spirit of the fans who stayed to the bitter end. At four one there was a bit of a mass walkout and then when the fifth and sixth went in more followed. However those that stayed suddenly found their voices as "Oh When The Saints"', boomed out from The Northam and Kingsland North. It was a show of defiance as if to say no matter how bad it gets we are going to stick by the team. In fact it reminded me of The Band on The Titanic who bravely played on as the ship sunk.
