Saints Transfer Target Out For Rest Of Season
Thursday, 17th Dec 2015 10:35

Saints will be crossing one name off their wish list in the January transfer window, as one of their targets has been ruled out for the rest o the season.

Brighton's Solly March had been linked with a move to Saints in the January transfer window, but now that and indeed Brighton's promotion hopes have been dealt a big blow with the nes that he will not play again this season after suffering cruciate ligament damage to his knee in the Seagulls recent game at Derby County.

Whilst this will be blow to Brighton's promotion hopes it will perhaps not be a terminal one, however it is highly unlikely that Saints will want to splash out on a player that could be out for the best part of a year if injuries to Jay Rodriguez and Fraser Forster are anything to go by.

This means that one avenue in the January transfer window will now be closed to Saints and they will need to focus their attentions elsewhere with Andros Townsend of Spurs and Demarai Gray of Birmingham City being two hotley tipped for a move to St Mary's

It would be good if we signed an attacking midfielder who could contribute some goals. We create plenty of chances but we've got nobody scoring from them. More wingers who don't score goals are not what we need right now.

After watching Charlie Austen the other night we should be after him big time our forwards should be forced to watch him and his shooting and movement
