QPR's trip to Derby County in October has been put back to a Saturday evening kick off so it can be screened live on BBC2.

The BBC has taken over a portion of Football League coverage for the forthcoming season. In addition to a Saturday evening highlights package to be screened after Match of the Day the corporation will also show ten live games during the course of the season.

The first four of those have been announced today and QPR's trip to Pride Park on October 24 will now kick off at 5.30pm and be screened live on BBC2.

Rangers have never lost at Pride Park with two wins and two draws so far and secured a rare away win there last season when goals from Mikele Leigertwood and Wayne Routledge sealed a 2-0 win in Nigel Clough's first game in charge of the Rams in January. Click here for a full match report.

The opening day clash between the two relegated sides Newcastle and West Brom has also been picked along with Cardiff v Nottingham Forest and Ipswich v Newcastle.

Sky Sports are yet to announce their live Championship matches for the start of the season but Rangers' trip to Exeter in the League Cup will not be shown, the channel choosing instead to take Darlington v Leeds and Bury v West Brom from the first round.
