Hard to sum this game up. As often before a good first half is followed by Rs losing their way. Although they had their moments in the second half they were mostly second best.

My naive interpretation of half time talks is that the losing team or the team that played less well gets a bollocking from the manager, a tactical tweak or two adjusts positions and in the second half they play with more determination and energy. But why do often is it that the opposition manage this and we seem unable to respond? The Watford game is excepted from this pattern. I'm beginning to get the feeling that the coaching staff need to rethink how they handle half time talks.

Of course Sorensen should have had a red, and maybe Kane's second yellow was harsh, but I think Brentwood probably deserved the win for their second half performance.

Not a bad display by Rs, but wouldn't it be great to have a good 45 followed by another good 45?
