Leeds go to the Withdean Stadium hoping to put an unhappy spell of defeats on the south coast behind them.

Leeds make the long-trip south to Brighton on Saturday. The Withdean Stadium however does not hold many happy memories for travelling Whites' fans, on their two visits when both clubs were in the Championship, Leeds lost 2-1 and 1-0.

However both teams have made assured starts and one player who knows all about Brighton is Seb Carole. The Frenchman joined Leeds from the Seagulls last year and scored one of his two career goals for them at Elland Road in the 3-3 draw back in September 2005.

Carole told leedsunited.com "It is a fabulous club and a nice place to live."

Assuming that Jonathan Douglas has returned back fit from Republic of Ireland international duty, Leeds only fresh injury worry has been Alan Thompson - who suffered a torn hamstring in the 1-1 draw with Orient last weekend.

Long term casualties Tore Andre Flo, Leon Constantine and Shaun Derry - who has been told he can leave the club on loan when fit, are the only other absentees.

Brighton have gone five games unbeaten and not conceded in their last four. Seagulls boss Dean Wilkins was in buoyant mood as he spoke to The Argus.

He said: "It is a game we should relish rather than fear. It's a game we should go into full of confidence and trying to maintain our solidity in terms of not conceding many goals while trying to make better use of our possession.

"A few weeks ago I said Swansea would be one of the teams looking to go up and the game there would give us an idea of where we were.

"We kept a cleansheet, got a draw and could have won it late."

According to the same newspaper, Brighton's George O'Callaghan is rated 50/50 because he has a sore hamstring.

The game is a 9,000 sell-out and it kicks off at 3pm. If you are going, don't forget to check-out Tim Whelan's Awaydaze.
