Saints Reserves Win At Eastleigh
Saints Reserves Win At Eastleigh

A very young Saints side despatched Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium

Apart from Bart Bialkowski in goal the sum total of Saints first team experience was Aaron Martin skippering against his old club with two starts at the end of the season and Oxlade Chamberlain with a single appearance as sub, thos aside it was pretty much youth and inexperience.

However it was a decent crowd of 1,655 to see the game and the only goal was scored by Sam Hoskins on 20 minutes, substitutions were also at a minimum as the young Saints in the side who harbour hopes of a first team breakthrough stayed focussed and saw the game through.

In previous years this hasnt always been the case with Saints being humbled with much stronger sides than this in their colours, but with the final games now out of the way, all eyes are now on Saturday with perhaps the most eagerly awaited season in many a year as Saints look to emulate sides in 1977/78, 1965/66 & 1959/60 and win promotion.
