Neil Warnock, the man with the most apt anagram to his name (at times) is getting softer in his old age, it seems. He is actually saying good things about Norwich City.

Speaking after QPR managed to keep their home clean sheet intact after Norwich put a penalty shot wide of the mark, theie manager said how he is looking forward to the return fisture at Carrow Road on New Year's Day.

Living up (or down) to his reputation, Warnock compared Satuday's game with England Internationals and Premier League games, and it came out well on top.

Warnock says that he was once interviewed for the manager's job at Norwich, but states that he probably upset the interview panel with his forthright and blunt style.

A previous occasion, when he upset Norwich City supporters, came as a result of a post-match incident with former manager, Nigel Worthington, when Warnock was disciplined by the Football League for making inflammatory gestures. Warnock puts it down to a reaction to Worthington, after the Irishman refused to shake his hand.

And Warnock is no friend to our next opponents, Crystal Palaces, after Warnock appeared to desert a sinking ship when all felt that he ought to have stayed to form a rescue package. Crossing to QPR, for Eagles supporters, is like crossing from Norwich to Ipswich.

Warnock praised the game for its attacking style and seems to think that Norwich will be open to exploitation as the style changes for the home crowd. Not giving anything away here, but check the videos, Colin. Norwich are an open, attacking side both home and away. If anytrhing, QPR will be more likely to concede.

Warnock was delighted with the support, albeit only 17 thousand plus, with three thousand and more from Norwich. He says he looks forward to playing in front of 25 thousand fans. We will have to make absolutely sure that we are as intimidating as possible, especially as Warnock is clearly already readying his players for the visit to Carrow Road.

A shame about his name, though...
