Middlesborough - Mowbray or Megson
Middlesborough - Mowbray or Megson
Thursday, 21st Oct 2010 11:07 by The Mutz NutZ

Manager-less Middlesborough has thrown a firework under a lot of redundant managers, all looking to get back into the mix.

As previously reported, initial thoughts turned to Tony Mowbray but many 'Boro supporters were concerned about this likelihood when considering events at Glasgow Celtic not so very long ago.

Today it seems that Gary Megson would like to be considered for the job. Megson says that he managed West Brom, a club, he says, very similar to Middlesborough. Not being a Middlesborough supporter I don't know for certain, but I doubt that such a statement will sit well with the lads on the terraces.

The fans, as always, have their favourites, and Middlesborough blogs mention names such as Graeme Souness, Alan Curbishly and Paul Ince.

One thing is certain, caretaker manager, Steve Agnew is in charge for their visit to Carrow Road on Saturday. His first game in charge, against Forest, ended in a 1-0 defeat.

In normal circumstances it would be safe to say that Norwich City could take the spoils from this encounter. However, the record of giving floundering teams a lifeline on our turf will give cause to think about where the safe money will go this weekend.

Watch this space for team new as it happens.
