I'm beginning to think maybe he isn't that great after all. Is it time for him to be dropped?

People will disagree but thought his feet again for the first goal were woeful and made a saveable shot look like a stunning goal.

Honestly that’s a load of rubbish.

Terrible error to be sure but our total failure in attack over the last three games is the reason we are now right back in the relegation mire.

I totally appreciate the table tells the story of a season and you are where you are due to 46 games of slog

However - at the business end of the season it’s all about moments.
That fine demonstration of Weetabix Wrists cost us 2 points for sure and if you look at the table that two points is bloody massive as well as what it did for a rival. So, at the moment I believe people are right to believe he’s a major part of us having very squeaky bums this evening

The best moment for me today was lovely old Lego-head Nakhi slamming in a pen in the 100th minute……. That moment could be defining and thank god he didn’t do a Birmingham 3-4 on us.
Now we just need three results in our favour being a win for us and a loss each for Hudds and Weds. Those moments can’t come soon enough and if Begovic keeps a clean sheet or two then fantastic and good for him.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I don't know if we had a different keeper it would have made a difference yesterday. However, if I was playing with him I'd feel he was a liability. He seems to have got markedly worse as the season has gone on. The Middlesbrough away game, for instance, he kept us in with a series of good saves, but he seems much slower since then and isn't stopping many shots any more, especially long distance ones.

I thought he went with his wrong hand for the first one. Surely he would have had a better reach to try and stop it with his left hand rather than his right? Also he didn't seem to jump at the optimum time to save it. Not saying it was saveable but it didn't look like he gave it a good go. Then the second he was completely in no man's land. He should either have gone earlier (but I think I'd stand a better chance of tackling outside the box than him) or stayed in his ground and made himself big, allowing the defender to push him round and then making it difficult for him. Instead, he just left an open goal by half coming.

But most of all he doesn't command his area. I know his counterpart in the other team is apparently not the best but his distribution was hugely better, starting a number of attacks by throwing out the ball early. He also looked much more confident with the ball at his feet and helped move the team ten yards further down the pitch than Begovic does as he's glued to the line unless he's recklessly leaving it to give the other team an open goal.

Don't think the jury is out on the goals yesterday. 3 excellent goals scored by a very good Hull team. Trying to micro-analyse each goal to try to put the blame onto Begovic is ridiculous and it just highlights the anti-Begovic feeling held by many. Everyone can have their opinions on him but to criticise him for the goals yesterday was unnecessary.

Well, the first, whilst I not sure we should have let the attacker come inside, I thought it went past the keeper too easily - not sure though.
The second, Poor initial defending. Keeper comes out doesn't get there before the attacker and we conceded. Should the GK come and not get there - I am not sure that he should.

He's not playing great but the other two keepers on our books are unlikely to step in and dominate in the remaining three critical games. We have to get behind Beggers (Belief). We need a raucous Loft end getting behind him next Saturday.

Of course they wont.....to play so called youngsters & untried at that is not a good option. Begovic will start and rightly so.

He is our goalkeeper for the next three games

He wasnt brilliant yesterday but our whole team was totally outplayed by an excellent display from Hull

His big mistake was palming an easy catch for a corner onto Uncle Albert and into the goal at Plymouth

That was very poor goalkeeping and i dont think he is greatly bothered about us, but sadly its too late to bring in replacements and even though he has not had a good season, zero chance new goalkeepers coming in now

He did have a match winning performance three or four games ago so he can play when he wants still. Hopefully that Asmir turns up for last three games

I mean, some keep saying that we need to drop him at any cost, others say we don't have anything better in reserve. I believe both may be true - but don't forget how we finally stumbled on Seny in the first team. We'd been bumbling along with Lumley and others for a while before the management finally gave Seny a chance. And he ended up being the best keeper we'd had since Smithies.

Now, I'm definitely not saying Walsh or Salomon are that, but equally I don't think we'd ever be any worse off for just binning Begović. He wasn't at fault for Saturday but equally he pretty much doesn't save any shots on target

Been sifting through the Sunday tv and newspaper reports and they’re all raving about Tufan’s goal and does look pretty good in fact it looks better the more I see it. No one is blaming Begovic.

Been Begovic’s biggest critic on here, even early season and especially since Marti came in.

But I don’t think he was really to blame for anything on Saturday . Maybe off his line quicker for the second ? The other 2 are just great strikes

Yes second goal he should have stayed put - I think JCS was just about getting back, but at least give the Hull forward something to think about. By rushing out the Hull player had to shoot early for a fairly easy goal.

Yes I think Begovic was just fine until about mid-season but got a lot of abuse on here anyway from some posters. More recently he has made more errors and looked more hesitant, maybe not so sure if he should come out for a cross or not for example, uncertain whether to come out or not for that 2nd goal or not at Hull and perhaps delayed it. I don't know maybe he's just getting old like all of us, but he could of read or heard of the unecessary abuse and his game suffered from it which of course doesn't help us. He got nearly all the blame for his flap at Plymough, while for me Albert was equally at fault for not reacting quick enough and clearing that for another corner. Hope he's not getting it at the games.

Come on mate, you seriously aren't suggesting that (i) Begovic reads anything on here, (ii) cares about what is said on here or let it affect him - he is, as many will tell me, a vastly experienced keeper who in his career has made a fair amount of ricks, so I am sure has heard and read far worse.

He gets very little stick at games. The crowd still dutifully applauds him as he waddles towards the loft, merch in hand.

I get the theory that on Saturday he needs to be cheered rather than barracked to raise his game. So I will do that. But I make no apology for finding it hard to cheer someone who's dire performances could contribute to our relegation - a relegation that will affect him not one single jot and he will probably have forgotten about 20 minutes after the final whistle at Coventry.

Nix - re the first one...I do a lot of kids football coaching, and for several years one of my colleagues was a specialist GK coach who is now head GK coach at Sunderland, having previously held the same position at Leeds and Notts Co .

I remember a long discussion with him about just this after I saved a shot using the technique AB did on Sat. I did it instinctively, so then asked him about it - afraid I can't remember the detail of the reply, but he said it was the 'right thing' to do, there was a very good reason why keepers go with the right hand in a situation like this (I think it was something to do with getting much more spring to improve % chance of reaching the ball). . I've watched out for it since, and the majority of pro keepers do it.
