QPR Shithousery !!! 18:04 - Mar 11 with 1111 viewsnumptydumpty

This word is likely to get a new entry into the Concise Oxford Dictionary !!!

Qpr were playing around from immediately after the goal.

Thought realistically should have been about 6 minutes added in first half not the 3 given and second half, was more like 14 minutes than the 7 given.

Despite it working in our favour, I am not a fan, but whilst the rules are so lenient on this, I can understand why all teams including us employ this tactic.

If I was a Watford fan certainly be pi***d with us.

But rules are rules and currently its part of the game.

We were definitely 100% more nasty than recent times and it worked !!!

Happy we do it whilst it's within the rules of the game.

We were not soft like could be accused for long parts of this season !!

Walking in a "Mackie Wonderland"
Poll: Where will we finish next season ???

I think it comes under the adages "Good guys never win" or "Don't bring a sword to a gunfight!" (Remember that great moment in Raiders of the Lost ArK!?)

We have seen this at LR for years- Grealish constantly falling over for AV, constant barracking of the ref by others, goalkeepers constantly tying their shoelaces, cramp , then cramp, then cramp!

There were a number of fake tackles ('dives?') and attempts to fool the ref yesterday on both sides and hence if they are practicising their 'Tom Daleys' we should too.

Little bit of Science for Sunday: As for diving, about 15 years ago a specialist in automatic human behaviour wrote to the FA and FIFA regarding 'simulation' .

He said that 'automatic human reaction' and 'faked reaction' could easily be detected as, when anyone is falling to the ground, the instinctive autonomic reaction is for arms to go downwards - towards the ground - and not up or outward in the air!

(It is the same when we experience a near miss, we all hold our heads, we do not think about it, we just do it instinctively! - Watch for it on the TV and see how, when the ball just misses or hits the post/bar the majority of the crowd and players will all hold their heads! The reaction is instant, for all and cannot be faked or simulated!)

So this guy wrote saying refs should study 'arms up' and 'arms down' as a simple, but definitive, test.

His study was, it appears, ignored by most referees as a player throwing up his arms when falling always seems to get a free kicks but even yesterday, both Watford players raised their arms when simulating fouls.

I suppose until the referees study human reaction and listen to science players will continue to do with what they think exaggerates and demonstrates surprise!

Oh yes, the study also stated that if one is hurt the immediate body reaction is to keep still, protect the injured part and hence the guy advised that rolling 'in pain' after a tackle was ALWAYS a fake reaction and simulation as keeping still is the natural and true reaction! Try telling that to continental, South American referees and players!!

Interesting about the rolling. I must admit when I've watched amateur football (largely kids to teens but also some adult football that was going on at the same time), there are hardly any times when players roll around after a tackle.

I’m not sure how it was only 7mins at the end of the second half, I expected 10 and realistically should have been more like 15. Totally understand why it was done but whatever team you support it is a shame to see and needs to be cracked down on but how long have we been saying that.
