Maybe things will turn out OK?

Ainsworth sacked today.

A bright young manager comes in, stops talking us down, restores pride, wins a game or two, plays football, revitalises Chair, Willock, Dykes et al.

Keeps us up comfortably as a result. Young manager doesn't depart to a bigger club as soon as they flutter their eyelashes.

We finally get a decent FA Cup 3rd round draw away to Spurs. 8,000 R's go delirious as Ange's complacent team selection backfires, Armstrong outpaces a lumbering Eric Dier and slots home the winner in front of the away end.

We have an intelligent, relatively quiet summer in the transfer market and aforementioned young manager gets the team playing well again, flirting with the playoffs.

The sun comes out.

I mean, it must be our turn soon for something good to happen again, mustn't it? Mustn't it? Hello? Hello?

The only bit that'll come true is the sun coming out, even then it'll be too hot.

I will stop at the 4th paragraph

With what’s happening to our club now, that will be more than enough to chew

I won’t be so greedy!
