My Mum was a big Motown fan and liked loads of different Motown acts. My Dad only seemed to like the Carpenters and was mercilessly barracked for that, even to this day (he was 90 last week and we put a couple of their tracks on the party playlist!)
Anyway, it has to be the long version of this one. An intro to die for and the strings
Anyone remember the Redknapp ones when we were at Southampton away? Singing 'one Harry Redknapp, there's only one Harry Rednapp, two Harry Redknapps' etc as each person put theirs on. He was even less popular with them than with us now so it was a quite a wind up.
We did it all the time in the 80s in London grounds. It was far safer keeping quiet and making your way out after, than offering yourself up for ambush coming out of the away end. I remember Tommy Langley celebrating in front of us in the Shed. It was hard not to smile at that. I was also a guest of a Man Utd fan in the home end on the Dennis Bailey match. In fact that was the last time I went to Old Trafford. Seems quite fitting and I don't want to spoil that memory by going there and seeing us lose now!
Good point. Identical points and GD too so maybe they can get beaten in their two games by more than us. Certainly not impossible and should they lose Saturday they could well be in the mix on the last day.
Not impossible and this is QPR but that would be pretty unlucky. There is a reasonable chance it will go to the last Saturday though which is often a lottery.
