A nice chap too.
He and Julie Walters were appearing at the theatre in Leicester city centre and came into Oddbins, where i was working.
Both very pleasant.
Shame, he was a really good actor, and was in The Lord Of The Rings too. |

Thanks North...... now it's official........i feel feckin old!
Sat in the SAR stand, we had season tickets (well, when i say 'we' i meant dad and grandad) and always had our seats on the half way line back row of the stand.
This was because the seat backs curved and as a youngling, i could stand in the gap created by adjoining curves, without my dad paying for a ticket for me. 14 years i did that. lol
However, i remember the match well.
We had done so well, only to have the glory 'stolen' from us by, i seem to remember, a scouse team 2 weeks after the season finished, after they were 1 down at half time. Boy, the rumours that went round after the 3-1 loss, and i'm not sure they have ever been totally dismissed.
Our greatest season, and i was there. |

Saw PNE's team coach on the M6 about 1pm going south from near Preston.
Looked like they had a national express coach, with no refinement.
Cannot have been comfortable and maybe tonights result is coming from not having enough room on the bus. |

No, i'm not going down that road, but if we go down, thats worse than Ainsworth did.
I just hope, basing my thoughts on this season, they get rid of the 2 and 3 season deadwood, and let Marti build a team around him, not having to use this seasons dregs that he inherited. |

this team arent good enough, but might be lucky enough, to stay up.
However, its fair to say that STILL, this team isnt good enough. And some of the players were here last season too, so there's a pattern developing.
Marti, no matter what happens, has to get rid of the dross that is hurting us.....
