Must be disconcerting to see BOOT SALE as related news. Good luck to him though, reckon he’ll find a place at a slightly lower level. |

To be honest, apart from this, I don’t do social media. Got a Tottenham mate who I’ve been baiting for years on this and OSW (One Season Wonder) as I refer to him. Rattles him every time, despite the fact he’s clearly not a one season wonder, so can’t help meself. |

Is there such a thing as a Jonah? Think I read somewhere last time Bayern failed to win the Bundesliga he was on loan at Millwall. |

Fair play to you and all those who do those trips, particularly difficult given how poor we were pre 2024. A 3 to 1 gain would be a step in the right direction, though sadly suspect it’s Bolton you’ll be bolting on to your north west trips. |

Didn’t we come to the conclusion we’d only be nicking a song other clubs are already using, one of those being the scum down the road. A no-no simply on that basis. |

Think we stand to receive an extra £3m or so from this deal so at our average ticket price, we’d probably have to lose 5000 supporters from each and every home game to make this unviable. Unlikely to happen in a 17500 capacity stadium so financially a good deal for us. More likely to affect away support than anything so we just need to evaluate how the school end gets divided up after the first season. Will miss the volume of 3pm Saturday games we’ve had this season but to be fair, we only got them because we spent most of the season being as poor as everyone expected. [Post edited 8 May 16:38]

Ideally most of the 20 live games would be away from home and t’up North. |

Tyler Taylor Taylor Tyler, like the cut of your jib Kev. Good podcast, sober but no one trying to outdo anyone. Hopefully Marti will get some say on youth development over the summer, it’s woeful down there. |

Hope it works out for him, gave his best. Will be interesting to see what level he settles in at. |

Remember when they used to do the football classified newspapers, late 60’s early 70’s, where you could get home from a game Saturday night and read all about it five minutes later as they were distributed. Quite a feat really, not just in London either, as I recall. Used to cut the Rangers ones out and put them in a scrapbook as a kid. From the daily’s, Jeff Powell was a cut above any other football journalist at the time. |

Wartime, and a group of ex footballers are gathered by the RAF and assigned to knock out a German rocket fuel factory in Norway, which is part of the Nazi effort to launch rockets on England during D-day, by flying up a well-defended fjord at low level. 433 Squadron. |

It’s ungentlemanly conduct. Firmly believe that goalkeepers should be allowed to run out and kick them in the balls if they do this. |

And, if it came to it, bet they’d find somewhere to build a new stadium. |

Yes that’s very true, everything you said, I probably was harsh. I just think he’d be an even better player if he showed a bit more acknowledgment of players around him and I wonder if that is an attitude issue. |

That’s a good point. That thing of not coming out on through balls would get most keepers a much bigger bollocking from the CB’s than actually happens, suggests they have faith in him generally. Also, in my head, when he’s presented with one on one situations he seems to save a lot more than most keepers. Doesn’t drop too early and spreads himself well. Smithies was good at that but apart from him, probably the best over the last decade. He is getting on but if he can teach the kid who played yesterday these techniques then I’m not opposed to another season. |

I’ve had my fill of ‘bad attitude’. This club is finally showing signs of an upturn. To maintain that you don’t need players who’s mind rather than their ability determines the performance you get on the pitch. Dunne, Cook, JCS, Paal .. good attitude. Field, Colback.. good attitude Andersen.. good attitude Chair.. possible ‘attitude’ but channelled mostly correctly Bench.. Fox, Smyth, Cannon .. good attitude In effect we’re only short of 2-3 outfield positions who are good enough at this level and with the right attitude. Move Willock on, one less set of mind games to think about. |
