Prosser no need to thank me but the best band in the world are back with a new album"songs of innocence"a huge world tour to follow, cheap trick pffffffft
No such thing really as a shit band, just one that one s doesnt like. As regards being a c.nt ,most musicians at the top I d wager are so really that leaves the music. U2 were massive, no question, some of their stuff is simple but effective and call him all the c.nts you weant but Bono had a real voice for the band.
Their stuff resonated for millions of people for years and "New Years Day" still shakes my fillings. Their concerts were epic occasions for millions, so millions others clueless feckers. Nah.
Bono?, saving the world? -bollox but many others give that crap pretentious?hypocritical?- so are many on here
What sets the band apart is the simple but effective and distinctive playing of Edge , a tight bass player and perfectly adequate drummer.
Most of my musical heroes have been arseholes but that doesn't stop me listening to and playing their music.
On BBC this morning sat Robert PLANT. An unbelievable voice, leader of a stella band and a nice bloke with a huge vocal range.
There are many who didn't like Led Zep and see Plant as a guy living off his bands name from 40 years ago. Those people are those with IMO no taste,no idea and no spirit.
No offence to any living and deceased person was meant by this post
If they were playing in my back garden i'd shut the patio doors and draw the curtains...................
that's a 'ditto' from me too

Ok then.
U2 have a new album out but it's OK you don't have to listen to it.

One of the best stadium gigs I ve been to was when I seen U2 at the millenium stadium 05. I paid £10 for the ticket off a tout as the show was about to start and sneaked in the disabled enclosure... Watched the entire gig virtually standing on the side of the stage like watching them play in a small club...
On another note nice to see Swanjack10 been taking English lessons...well done..
