First that was bought for me - Elton Johns Greatest Hits Volume I on vinyl when I was 6 years old. I had recently heard his version Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds on the radio and thought it was a cool song, so my older sister bought that for me.

First album... I believe it was my sister and I chipping in allowances to get a copy (casette) of Tears for Fears - Songs from the Big Chair-- there are still some good bits on that record. First I bought myself, I think it was that reunion Kiss record "revenge" was it called? like 1991 or something. Which is less embarrass than some of the spandex rock I was listening to when I was at that age.
