Caulker alongside Ash, worked a treat before, with Ash doing all the thinking and getting the positioning right, could well work a treat again. |
Saw Caulker make his debut for us pre season at Neath a few years ago and ever since been a big fan of his.
Yes he needs a stronger/leader of a CB to manage his game and Ash is first class in that department.
Personally, I'd be delighted if he came back this summer .... |  |

Is it only me that thinks 40 pts is what we will be needing? having seen some miracle escapes from the likes of Wigwam and Fester in recent years.
I'd be happier aiming for 40 pts minimum and i'm sure the club think the same.

Totally agree Icey.
All very well managers etc suggesting 37/38 points as a safety this season - we MUST aim to get to the magical 40 points as in previous seasons to expel all doubts about this.

This is it.
We are very, very nearly safe.
The problem is we need one more win. Very unlikely we'd need more than one more win, possibly wont need any more points but one should do it.
However picking up wins in the prem can be very very difficult. You can play ok like we just have and win and other times play reasonably well and pick up defeat after defeat.
Jokes aside I do wonder about the relationships between Curt, Guidolin and the other coaches etc. I don't mean that they don't get on, however its there for everyone to see that under Curt we have just won two on the bounce, no getting away from that.
How do the club approach the rest of the season? Don't mean to be negative about Guidolin, however I wish now that we just had Curt in charge for clarity on how we play etc. |
Good post but I'm going for the game against Villa as a given 3 points in the bag.
We re lucky we ve come on form and turned the corner at this stage in the season. To get a few more points on top of that will be a bonus but I'm pretty certain we can do it.
I agree regarding Curtis and it does make you wonder why we needed GUIDOLIN in the first place. Mind you hind sight is a wonderful thing but I really think we are staying up now on our current form especially with the new blood like Fer coming through.

He wasn't a regular for Napoli. He played 44 games in 3 seasons and was loaned out to Getafe.
