There is no doubt that the work done at the club developing our academy players is streets above what it was only a few years ago. Once Warren Farm is complete and we successfully apply for Cat 1 status we should be attracting even better youngsters... hopefully. Well done to Chris Ramsey and his team of coaches.

Watford under 23s are dreadful this season. I saw them about a month ago when they got their first point of the season with a 0-0 draw. Richard Langley described them thus 'not an ounce of talent anywhere on the pitch'. I believe they've got 4 points now from about 11 games. The under 18s are poor as well this season. We beat them 5-1 preseason.

In fairness Impey rightly said himself we played more of a B-team than the U23 side Watford put out.

Hard to see what they got out of it to be honest. Come January we need to be getting as many as possible of this XI out on loan if they're to develop for us.
