until the end to watch our side get a draw?

It should have been a win but they showed great character to come away with a point at the end.

I still chuckle about the mass exodus for THAT match against Crystal Palace. There were only about 10 people in each stand left to see that amazing turnaround. OK, slight exaggeration, but not by much.

It's the same everywhere though - seems like a lot of people don't go to watch football, they go to watch whether their team can get a result and nothing else. If it seems like they can't then they're out of there. Each to their own and all that.

That area where people stand should never have been part of the design of the stadium. It should have been one big tier. It's a waste of space.

It's an emergency access requirement.

It's an emergency access requirement.

And yet lots of stadiums don't have that.

As regards the concourse around the stadium, there are specific guidelines as to the design of stadia, these guidelines will include access and egress facilities, normal access/egress, including access/egress in cases of emergencies etc.
I'm sure that it wasn't designed that way just to p!ss people off.
During the design process many would have been consulted, including emergency services, police etc including disabled access groups and many many more.
There's a lot of time and effort goes into the design and construction of such structures, there not just thrown together.

I seem to remember the stadium financing grants placed a limit on the size, design etc.

Maybe it's been built so that mid tier can be added to once the grant payback period is/ was finished.
Guessing here mind.

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.
