What we have in Andalucia at the moment.
The borders to the region are closed. Police and other security agencies involved. Within the provinces, I’m in Cadiz, towns are being locked down, Jerez de la Frontera is an example. Around 100,000 people. There are others. Curfews are in place everywhere. Normally 11pm to 6am. Bars close at 10pm, no more than six socially distanced per group. Must wear masks in between ingestion. Masked are compulsory everywhere, no excuses.
IF you have no reasonable cause to be crossing the border, 500 euro fine after being locked up for a day or two. IF you breach the town in lockdown rules, same. IF you breach the curfew, it’s a prison term and fine. IF you don’t wear a mask it’s 100 euro fine. Do it three times, and it’s a grand and a prison term.
The people of Spain have a history of dissent, very few are taking any risks, if any, the police are excellent at their jobs here, especially road blocks, they are courteous and respectful, just like in the U.K. However, if you start banging your gums, there is little or no coming back from it. Straight to jail. I’m not saying it’s utopia but the U.K. has never had a lockdown, it doesn’t know what a lockdown is, it never will because the leadership and culture is flawed. Nobody cares about each other. I had to laugh in March when people in the U.K. said they were in lockdown. When clearly they were not.

I think it's unfair to call people fools, granted, it's a worrying time.. But if you think pubs are the cause, well, what about all the cases in the hospitals where people supposedly died of it, IIRC was it 135 cases, and 30 deaths, and they stated non covid when they were admitted, so I guess all the hospital staff are fools as well.. Based on your reckoning.

From everything i am reading, it's not just pubs, it's anywhere people gather together or socialise.Pubs, houses , universities, schools, hospitals etc. The virus is only passed by close contact from person to person through droplets of spittle etc. Keep the distance, mask up and have good hygiene and it will not spread, but many are not following these basic requirements, and it won't go away until they do.

Let's see if he keeps his word, Drakeford that is, after i heard him saying 'Anticipate', I have my doubts, and also if this current trend they are portraying continues, I doubt it very much.
If the case figures rise or even stay at the levels they are now, I would be quite surprised if he didn't extend it! Not that I'm advocating an extension on the fire break, just I feel he has no other option.

Course I want to keep others safe, but I disagree with lockdown, they don't work.
What does work then?We don't have the ability to run a proper test and trace system. Herd immunity isn't an option - even a disciplined society like Sweden has admitted this. There is no alternative to lockdowns
