My interpretation of all the information on the various websites is that KH applied for the Sheffield Utd job and whilst he was waiting for the result of the interview , Barnsley asked for permission to interview him for their job, and not knowing whether he had been successful, he had to initially turn Barnsley down. He then gave two interviews to BBC radio Manchester and Sheffield with different interpretations , trying not to burn his bridges with Rochdale and Barnsley. When he learned he hadnt got the Sheffield job he then got in touch with Barnsley. If Leyton Orient had given permission to Russell Slade to go to Barnsley then probably he would still be with the Dale. |  |
